Streamed live on 10 September 2020 and presented in collaboration with the Linz-based art and technology organisation Ars Electronica, this video discussion explores the artworks and ideas that inform The New Real project.

Moderated by Drew Hemment (Project Director and Curator, The New Real), artists Jake Elwes, Caroline Sinders and Anna Ridler are joined by Mahir Yavuz, co-founder of location intelligence startup, Topos, and also a researcher focused on AI and data driven systems.

Across the 90-minute discussion, the blurred boundary between our physical and digital lives is explored as the artists introduce their work and discuss the themes of The New Real.

The event was realised by Experiential AI at Edinburgh Futures Institute and Ars Electronica as part of the European ARTificial Intelligence Lab, and co-funded by Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
